This is the kind of weather that saps the motivation to don anything other than last night’s (possibly) stained sweats and a race tee from the days when you used to race. But this day, I resisted the urge to mirror the weather’s gloom and layered up with pieces that made me happy and kept me warm.
Heaps of wool loops, this cardigan can abracadra even the drabbest into head-turning, wink-inducing ensembles. I don’t think I went anywhere without at least a “how do you do?” Well, maybe not that formally put, but it’s what they meant, I’m sure.
Underneath, an amazing technicolor dream coat I wore out of the store when I bought it. It’s too good to cover up with a coat it’s length or longer.
Bubble gum pink loafers?
I’m proof that you don’t need springtime or nautical leanings to pretend you have both.
Peep these architectural wiz-bangs on my ears designed by a genius who draws inspiration from everything around her. From the cables of bridges to the essence of countries, her work is testament to a what a brain on the drugs of inspiration can create. And these sleek, comfortable studs are no exception.
Do I even need to say anything about this bag? This triumph of fuchsia and velvet that I find suitable for every day use? Whose pink, satin interior hold more than expected, including my heart? Whose gold chain and hardware, antiqued and hearty, somehow still manage to put the ‘extra’ in extraordinary? Too effusive? Can’t help it. This bag is tops in my book.
So, there you have it. Brightening my own day durned day with some wool and some velvet and some paisley and some pink. Hope your days are bright as well!
Peace Yinz,
Dita
