UNCOMMON DENIMINATOR

Sometimes the last thing even the most dedicated fashionista wants is to layer, coordinate and suck her way into an outfit. Sometimes she wants throw something on and be done with it. And still look fabulous. Is that too much to ask?

Nope. Tailored or oversized, belted or free, a shirt dress can deliver polish without pomp or circumstance. This denim version is pretty voluminous and could easily overwhelm so, because I would not be contained by a belt this Easter weekend, I pushed up the sleeves and wore it unbuttoned it lighten the look.

So… all that talk earlier about wanting to keep it simple? That was all true. But the devilish diva in me needed a little dazzle.

Who else saw these booties and yelped? I mean emitted a shout in response to how painfully adorable they are, not furiously typed a review. Because did you say rose applique, embroidery and studding? And it still doesn’t look like Ru Paul wore it in dance video? Where do I sign?! (Side note: I’d probably wear whatever Ru Paul told me to.) This bootie took this outfit from “yes” to “YAAAASSSS!”

And is it just me or is this sweet bag the epitome of spring? But don’t let this coquettish piece fool you. She’s a versatile workhorse that carries a ton and can be worn multiple ways.

The sun came out, so I had to accessorize with some sparkle and shine. The earrings and choker caught the light at the right angles but were simple because the shoes and dress were the stars. The sunglasses? #TheDivaMadeMeDoIt

Three cheers for keeping it simple and still feeling fabulous! Enjoy your day, stunners!

Peace Yinz,

Dita
